Apple drops patent claim against Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini
By Jerry Carrion

The Galaxy S3 Mini won't be involved in the next round of the endless battle between Apple and Samsung regarding patent. The little brother of the Samsung Galaxy S3 had been named alongside a host of Samsung devices which, as per Cupertino, infringe Apple's intellectual property rights.

The warring companies were asked to present a list of disputed devices for yet another (second) trial in California, which is scheduled to begin in March 2014. The Galaxy S3 Mini won't be sold in the United States, Apple has agreed to strike it from the list.

Round two

However, Apple's list still includes the Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and Samsung Rugby Pro devices. Apple also has the right to reinsert the S3 Mini if Samsung decides to launch it in the US. The 2nd trial, which follows Apple's victory this summer, will also hear about Samsung's claims about the Apple's iPhone 5.
